I’ve put together this helpful checklist to go over before you sign off on any home remodeling project. Always check that:
- The work has been performed according to the standards set forth in your contract.
- There are written warranties in your posession for all materials and workmanship done in regards to your remodeling project.
- Proof that all suppliers and subcontractors have been paid by the contractor (so they can’t put a lien on your home for non-payment).
- The job site is clean and all equipment, tools and any extra materials have been removed.
- You inspect and approve of all work that has been completed yourself.
